Keisuke Sakaba was born in 1980. His principal teacher in Japan is Masaru Kakei. In 2002, his studies lead him to France where he was taught by world-renowned guitarist Alberto Ponce at Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris. In 2003, He went to U.S.A to study with Denis Azabagic and Sergio Assad at the music conservatory, Chicago College of Performing Arts. In 2006, he was graduated from the conservatory with the highest grade, and given master degree of music. Keisuke currently lives in Tokyo to give performance both as a soloist and ensemble musician.
Keisuke has won several national and international competitions, including 1st prize at the 2008 Padova International Music Competition (Italy), 3rd prize at the 2007 UFAM International Music Competition (France) and the 2000 Spanish Music Guitar Competition (Japan).
Keisuke has performed for artists such as Oscar Gilia(Italy), Stefano Grondona(Italy), Roland Dyens(France), Manuel Babiloni(Spain), Andrew Zohn(USA), Stephan Aaron(USA), and Paul Henry(USA).
